Report Methodology

The report was based on the views of a representative sample of 1,124 US-based consumers. The Local Consumer Review Survey was conducted in November 2021 with an independent consumer panel.

Why it Matters

This statistic matters because it highlights the importance of excellent customer service. A negative experience can be a valuable opportunity for businesses to turn dissatisfied customers into loyal advocates. By resolving issues and providing an exceptional experience, businesses have a high chance of not only retaining customers but also benefiting from positive word-of-mouth as satisfied customers are likely to leave a review.
